Text Box: The first time the ‘Desperate Dan Trio’ played at "The Old Blue Coconut" in Pulborough; I remember thinking that this would be a good room to record in… so we did just that!
Roger Adams had intimated that he would like to stand down this year. So I decided to catalogue the performance chemistry of the trio in this way with the hope of capturing the extraordinary air of telepathy that had seemed to exist between us. After an in depth conversation between Nigel Glockler and myself I became convinced that we should go ahead. Nigel put me in contact with sound engineer Stuart Campbell and the rest, as they say, is history.
Stuart made an amazing job of recording the two sessions at T' Coconut and the subsequent mix along with Nigel (who very generously allowed us the use of the studio at No. 13) he has produced arguably the best thing we have done yet.
Special thanks to the owner of T' Coconut, Jim Lee, without whom there would be no album.
So those of you who have this album: please enjoy! and for those who have not: hurry up and get it!
